Community Handbook
These guidelines are here to make sure everyone at Aleenta-
whether you've been with us for 10 years or 10 minutes - feels welcome, safe, and celebrated.
You can book classes through the Aleenta app or via our website. Pick a time that works for you, any studio, any class.
First time? We recommend booking during an off-peak time so our teachers have a bit more space to give you a rundown of what's happening.
Come 10 minutes early. We promise this is worth it. You'll get time to:
• See the space without feeling rushed
• Meet your teacher and chat about any concerns or injuries
• Get a quick tour of the reformer and what to expect • Breathe. (Seriously, deep breaths help.)
Your teacher will give you options throughout class. You're not locked into anything. Pilates is about meeting your body where it is today, not where it was last week or where you think it should be.
✓ Water (seriously, hydration matters)
✓ Grippy socks (we sell them in studio if you forget)
✓ A towel (you might sweat—that's the point)
✓ Yourself (the only required thing)
Leave your phone in a locker/shelving. The studio is phone-free. You're here for YOU, not for Instagram.
Come 10 minutes before class starts. This gives you time to check in and get settled.
At a few of our studios the door locks at class start time. No-one will be available to let you in.
Running late? The class has already begun, and jumping in mid-flow disrupts everyone's flow - including yours. If you're going to be late, reach out and we'll figure out an alternative class for you.
Cancel via the app or website (not email, phone or Instagram!).
Our 4-hour cancellation window means if you cancel more than 4 hours before class, you keep your session. Less than 4 hours? You forfeit it. This policy exists so we can give spots to people on the waitlist and so nobody wastes a spot.
No-shows and late cancelling are treated as forfeits (this helps us manage the waitlist fairly).
If a class is full, get on the waitlist. We'll email or text you if a spot opens up (up to 1 hour before class). The 4-hour cancellation policy applies to waitlist spots too - if plans change, cancel it so the next person in line can take it.
• Lockers/shelves/pigeonholes for your belongings
• Clean bathrooms and change rooms (gender-neutral)
• Cold water + some studios have filtered water stations
• Supportive staff who genuinely want you to succeed
Aleenta is a judgment-free zone for all people. We're inclusive of everyone – regardless of size, age, race, ability or anything else.
Every community member deserves to feel safe and respected. We don't tolerate discrimination, bullying, or oppressive behaviour of any kind. No excuses.
If someone is acting in a way that makes others feel unsafe, we'll ask them to leave. Full stop.
Before class, let your teacher know:
• Any injuries or recent medical stuff
• If you're pregnant or postpartum
• If you're not feeling great on the day
• Anything else we should know
We take notes in your file and remember. Your teachers will offer options and modifications throughout class. This is between you and us - we respect your privacy completely.
If your pregnancy is uncomplicated and you feel good, you can join any of our classes. Our teachers are trained in pregnancy-safe modifications and can offer options specific to where you're at.
We have wedges and props to support you during class. Just tell your teacher how you're feeling on the day.
You will be required to fill in a Pre-Natal Clearance Form.
Your body just did something incredible. Take time. When you're ready to move again and have received clearance from your doctor, come back - we'll modify everything.
Check in with your teacher about where you're at post-birth so they can offer appropriate modifications and support.
Young people aged 14+ can attend classes with a parent or guardian on-site.
16+ can attend without a parent present.
Life happens. If you need a break, you can pause your membership for up to 6 weeks at a time. Complete the form here.
You can cancel anytime after your initial commitment, from the start of your next cycle. Complete the Termination here. We always love to know why. Your feedback helps us improve.
Refunds for change of mind or unused sessions aren't offered (in line with Australian Consumer Law). But if something goes wrong on our end - studio closure, payment issue, class cancellations - we'll work it out with you.
Full-time students get 20% off class-packs and Membership. Email hello@aleenta.club with proof of your student status to get set up.
